rem is a series of stainless steel sculptures exploring the liminal tension between awareness and disappearance, the delicate moment when perception dissolves and the subconscious takes hold.

each piece features an aperture, gradually narrowing across the series like the slow, involuntary closing of eyelids in sleep or surrender. the reflective surfaces mirror the viewer back at themselves, blurring the line between subject and object, dreamer and dream.

as the opening tightens, the world seems to slip, and presence begins to vanish. this progressive closure becomes a visual metaphor for the passage of time, the erosion of clarity, and the haunting beauty of impermanence.
